BES Utilities welcomes a new Managing Director

Nick Dilworth joined BES‘ senior management team in April 2016 and recently replaced the former Managing Director, Andy Pilley, who has now taken up the role of Chairman.

Nick will work alongside the Chairman and existing Board of Directors, and his appointment follows a series of senior appointments over recent months as the business continues its focus on compliant growth.

BES helps customers affected by UK floods

Commercial energy supplier BES Utilities has contacted more than 1,500 businesses in a bid to help customers affected by devastating floods.

Thousands of homes and businesses were left under water after a series of storms wreaked havoc across Northern England, Scotland and Ireland.

To date, BES has contacted 1,550 business customers in affected areas to offer a range of help which includes the freezing or writing off of gas and electricity bills and the replacement of damaged metering equipment free of charge.

BES Utilities supports Text Santa

Staff at commercial energy supplier BES Utilities got into the festive spirit as they donned Christmas jumpers to do their bit for ITV’s Text Santa appeal.

The Lancashire-based company’s Fleetwood offices were transformed into a sea of Yuletide woollies as business suits were ditched for the day in favour of festive knitwear as part of Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day.

And the day’s festivities saw BES staff raise more than £260 for the annual telethon.

It was all part of a record day as Text Santa raised £8.3m – its highest ever total.

Blackpool Illuminations sponsored by BES Commercial Electricity

Blackpool’s world-famous Illuminations will be powered up by BES Commercial Electricity for the next two years thanks to a deal that has been signed today.

Fylde-coast Group, BES Utilities, has now signed a deal to provide electricity for free in 2014 and at half price in 2015. Based on current consumption figures the deal equates to more than £100,000 making BES Commercial Electricity the biggest contributor to the lights for the last ten years.

Energy Minister speaks of “symbol of hope and the future”

On Thursday 12th March, Energy Minister and Minister for Business & Enterprise, Matthew Hancock, paid a visit to BES Utilities and Fleetwood Town Football Club, accompanied by MP for Lancaster and Fleetwood, Eric Ollerenshaw.

Mr Hancock is currently visiting one hundred businesses in 100 days in the run up to the election, and he took time out whilst in the North West to visit the Fleetwood based BES Group, meeting Directors Andy Pilley and Michelle Davidson, as well as taking time out speak to staff from BES and the club.
